FTR Announces Dynamic Lineup of Keynote Speakers for Annual Conference Sept 11-14

Bloomington, IN – (Trailer Technician) FTR’s 2023 Transportation Conference, taking place September 11-24 at the Crowne Plaza at the Union Station in Indianapolis, IN, brings together a wide range of transportation industry professionals including equipment operators, logistics experts, component and equipment manufacturers, and analysts covering both truck and rail segments.

Repeating the successful format of FTR’s 2022 conference, each day will be focused on a specific modal track. Keynote speakers have been announced who will deliver fitting insight to the dedicated mode of each day:

Monday – September 11 – Truck Equipment

Göran Nyberg, Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations of Navistar, Inc. responsible for sales and marketing areas of the business. Nyberg has a vast global perspective of commercial vehicle equipment having served previously with MAN where he launched its new generation of trucks and in international positions with the Volvo Group in Sweden, Malaysia, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

Tuesday – September 12 – Truck Freight

Rebecca Wlazlo, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain at Crate & Barrel Holdings (CBH) currently leading a transformation to a modern and responsive supply chain.  Rebeccas has a deep knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain with experiences ranging from inventory management and procurement to distribution operations, and transportation strategy that she will share with session attendees. 

Wednesday – September 13 – Rail Freight

Alan Shaw, President and CEO of Norfolk Southern, where he has been driving a transformational change in the company’s culture to create what he calls a “customer-centric, operations-driven, service organization.” He is also leading the company’s focus on rail safety, enhancing its safety culture in the drive to make Norfolk Southern the gold standard of safety in the industry. 

Thursday – September 14 – Rail Equipment

Jeff Lytle, President of CIT Rail, recently led the integration of CIT Rail into First Citizens Bank, a top US Bank with more than $200 billion in assets. Lytle is active in rail industry events and organizations and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Railway Supply Institute in addition to serving as Chairman of the Membership Committee.

Vince de Luca, Chief Financial Officer at National Steelcar, will be the Aftermarket keynote speaker for rail equipment.
