Timpte Announces New Facility in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
(Trailer Technician) – Timpte, Inc., manufacturer of the #1 selling dry bulk commodity trailer in North America, announces its newest Customer Support Center (CSC) in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Cedar Rapids facility is scheduled to open in mid-December 2022 and will become Timpte’s flagship CSC. Eastern Iowa has historically been serviced by Timpte’s Urbana CSC which opened in 2002. The entire Urbana team will be relocating to the new Cedar Rapids CSC.
“Cedar Rapids is widely known as being one of the major bioprocessing and food ingredient manufacturing centers in the United States,” stated Dale D. Jones, President and CEO of Timpte. “On any given day, there are hundreds of hopper bottom trailers delivering grain into major facilities and backhauling byproducts from companies that are household names such as Cargill and ADM.”
The new 36,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility is situated on 8-acres off Interstate I-380 on Exit 13 and will feature a large indoor showroom, sales offices, parts warehouse and an 11-bay service shop. In addition to offering customers the premier factory-direct semitrailer sales and aftermarket parts & service facility in the country, this new location will also bring several new job opportunities to the Cedar Rapids area.
