MOTOR Sponsors New Scholarships Through the Women In Trucking Foundation

TROY, MI – (Trailer Technician) – MOTOR Information Systems is honored to announce the MOTOR Career Advancement Scholarship for Women, offered in consortium with the Women In Trucking Foundation. Three scholarships will be granted to women who work as technicians or drivers within the heavy-duty trucking industry, helping them further their careers via continuing education in training facilities.

The Women In Trucking Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2011 and is supported by the Women In Trucking Association. The Foundation’s mission is to “strengthen the legacy of education in trucking” and provide a source of support for women across the trucking industry.
Entries for the MOTOR award will be evaluated based on applicants’ financial need and their desire to further their careers in the trucking industry. Applicants must complete an application form and submit a short essay describing their future goals as trucking technicians or drivers and how the MOTOR Career Advancement Scholarship for Women will help them reach those aspirations.

“MOTOR’s overall mission is to support the industry,” says MOTOR President Jeff Nosek. “This involves promoting diversity in the industry. A very important part of that is supporting the career growth of the diverse professionals who work within it. We are pleased to offer these scholarships to help support women’s advancement in not only their individual careers, but the overall trajectory of the heavy-duty segment.”

Applications are open through September. For more information, visit the Women In Trucking Foundation’s scholarship page.
