BENDIX CELEBRATES PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIANS DURING NATIONAL TECHNICIAN APPRECIATION WEEK

Honoring and Supporting the Indispensable Service Pros Who Help Keep America’s Trucks Rolling

ELYRIA, Ohio – (Trailer Technician) – Can you imagine a trucking industry without the dedicated, exceptionally skilled men and women who – day in and day out – work tirelessly to ensure our nation’s commercial vehicles are in safe condition and always at the ready for service?

Bendix can’t either. Which is why the company is pleased to offer a special salute to maintenance pros during National Technician Appreciation Week.

“Think about it: The ability of every delivery truck to drop off goods in our neighborhoods, every vocational vehicle to move materials in and around jobsites, and every big rig to spirit loads across the country traces back to the professional technicians who help keep these and all other trucks rolling,” said Fred Andersky, Bendix director – government and industry affairs. “We all owe these pros a debt of gratitude, and National Technician Appreciation Week is one opportunity to thank them.”

Sponsored by the American Trucking Associations (ATA), the second annual National Technician Appreciation Week takes place Sept. 19-24. The week is a conjoined effort with ATA’s Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) and held directly following TMC’s 2021 Fall Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition, which took place Sept. 12-16 in Cleveland, Ohio. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and commitment of professional technicians, while also helping to attract prospective talent to one of the most in-demand careers in the trucking industry.

“To all of the professional technicians doing this critical work, all of us at Bendix extend our sincere thanks,” Andersky said. “And, as we have been doing for many decades, we will continue to proudly support their work through our education and training efforts. These men and women have our country’s back, and we have theirs.”
