BRIGHTON, MI, USA – (Trailer Technician) — AIRman Products Inc. is pleased to announce the release of production units of the company’s new Deploy and Retract Technology (DART™), which makes operating truck/trailer landing gear as easy as flipping a switch.
DART™ is AIRman Products’ switch-operated landing gear actuator that is designed to cost-effectively replace manual crank landing gear and improve productivity. DART will revolutionize the way fleets handle their trailer drops and hooks. Gone are the days of using a hand crank to drop or retrieve trailers multiple times a day in all kinds of nasty conditions. Gone, too, are potential worker’s compensation claims and lost time due to injuries.
Originally announced as a new AIRman product in early 2020, the product received extremely favorable reviews and response from fleet owners. Eager to test it, many fleets purchased an early version of DART in order to road-test it over some of the harshest conditions on their routes. During that time, while all of the field tests proved successful, some additional enhancements were made to facilitate installation, resulting in the production model released today.
