FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – (Trailer Technician) — Thanks to the virtual nature of Work Truck Week 2021, industry professionals can learn about more than 100 new commercial truck products now, with more to debut when the event goes live next week.
New products on tap for WTW21 range from complete vehicles like Peterbilt’s Model 220EV – its first electric configuration for medium-duty applications – to systems that make work trucks more efficient like battery electric technology and plug-in hybrid systems; from new bodies, aerial platforms and hydraulic cranes to equipment like air compressors, diesel refueling tanks, and bed extenders. WTW21, presented by NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry, is a reimagined way to connect the commercial vehicle community and provide the product news, market trends and operational insights the industry has come to expect from The Work Truck Show® in a virtual environment. It runs online March 8–12 and on-demand through April 9 (registration required).
Overall, nearly 300 exhibiting companies will showcase the latest products necessary to build, equip, customize and utilize the trucks that keep the world moving. If it goes in or on a vocational truck — or helps an upfitter install equipment — you can find it at WTW21.
“Whether we’re gathering in person or virtually, Work Truck Week is always the place to go to see the newest and most innovative trucks, equipment and technology to improve your operation,” says Steve Carey, NTEA executive director. “This year, attendees have the opportunity to gather new product information from exhibitors in multiple ways, including live demos, downloadable information, sessions, and via chat.”
As part of Work Truck Week’s first-ever Media Day on Monday, March 8, Buyers Products, Crane Carrier Company, Ford Commercial Vehicles, Mack Trucks, Ranger Design and XL Fleet will hold press conferences to share their latest work truck news. More than 90 live demo sessions will be hosted by exhibitors March 9–11. Many of these events include demonstrations and walkarounds of new commercial vehicles, equipment and accessories. Leading chassis OEMs will talk about their latest products during Update Sessions throughout the week, and battery electric vehicle manufacturers will present Advanced Chassis Update Sessions on Friday.
