US LINER COMPANY INTRODUCES Patent Pending SILVERBACK HEAT REFLECTING SUBPAN PRODUCT.

Revolutionary Trailer Sub Pan Integrates Low-E Heat Reflecting Film to High-Performance Versitex Composite.

Silverback provides a Thermal Protection Subpan Shield that resists heat intrusion in a lighter, stronger material composite. Performance testing proves reduced cooling load in refrigerated transport.

CRABBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA – (Trailer Technician) – US Liner Company, a leading manufacturer of advanced, glass-reinforced composite solutions for the trucking industry, is introducing Silverback, a patent pending thermal reflecting trailer subpan to market. Utilizing a unique bonded construction, Silverback matches a newly developed low-E heat-reflecting film to US Liner’s industry-proven Versitex composite.

In announcing Silverback, Michael LaRocco, US Liner President said, “We believe Silverback is a natural evolution of our Versitex material, which has been the preferred subpan materials for OEM’s due to its strength and durability. Silverback addresses the need for fleets to improve the thermal barriers and inhibit heat transfer from radiant energy of hot pavements Our new product provides those benefits in a lightweight, strong composite.”

Silverback brings added benefits to US Liner’s Versitex glass-reinforced product by adding a special non-conductive metalized film that reflects heat gain from hot roadway and parking lot surfaces. Silverback provides a heat barrier that is shown to reflect 30% percent more radiant heat away from the bottom of trailer, thereby keeping the trailer cooler than all standard subpan.

According to LaRocco, “Our validation testing shows not only a low coefficient of heat gain, but also indicates a weight savings of over six pounds on a standard 53-foot trailer. These results address energy efficiency concerns of fleet owners by reducing loads on mobile cooling units and lower overall vehicle weight. Mile for mile, we expect fleet owners will realize significant energy savings over the life of the trailer.”

LaRocco said, “At US Liner, our goal has always been to raise the bar in developing and improving out family of composite products. Silverback illustrates how we’ve responded to customer needs to improve thermal performance of insulated vans and lower overall fuel costs. I think we’ve delivered on our promise to our OEM customers to provide solutions that lead the industry in performance and durability.”

Silverback is now available for OEM specification. For more information, contact Jeff Meek, VP Sales at 1-800-USLINER. (1-800-875-4637).
