CIMC Intermodal Equipment Attains ISO 9001:2015 Certification
South Gate, CA – (Trailer Technician) On November 6th, 2019 CIMC Intermodal Equipment (CIE) received ISO 9001:2015 certification for both of its North American facilities.
Attainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification was the primary goal of CIMC Intermodal Equipment in 2019. Implementing 5S+S lean methodology drove the process through a complete evaluation and reinvention of their headquarters and manufacturing facilities in South Gate, CA and Emporia, VA. Strategically redesigned production facilities, employee lunchrooms, locker rooms, and studios for marketing and IT functions have created a productive, state of the art, healthy and comfortable environment for all employees. Streamlined manufacturing and administrative processes provided greater efficiencies with the focus of improving the customer experience and the quality of product at every level. The transformations have resulted in both facilities being recognized as complying with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
