ATLANTA – (Trailer Technician) – The North American Commercial Vehicle Show (NACV Show) is the premier biennial B2B trucking industry event focusing on the needs of fleet owners, managers and decision makers. More than 470 exhibitors, including top truck and trailer OEMs will showcase their latest Class 8 trucks and trailers. Commercial vehicle parts and transformative fleet technology providers also will demonstrate innovative products and solutions. Expanded Exhibition Area Includes New Features

NACV Show 2019 covers more exhibition space than the inaugural show with brand-new interactive features, expert workshops, education sessions and visionary speakers  Highlights across the show floor include electric vehicles, new trucks with telematics platforms, driver assistance technologies, dynamic maintenance for vehicle data analysis and service communications to more accurately plan maintenance needs and trucks featuring improved fuel efficiency.

In Hall A, top truck OEMs Daimler Trucks North America (booth 611), Navistar’s International Trucks brand (booth 1538) and Orange EV (booth 2603) will showcase their latest truck lines and models. Top trailer OEMs Great Dane (booth 2013), Hyundai (booth 739) and Wabash National Corporation (booth 2739) will demonstrate their latest products.

In Hall B, top truck OEMs Hino Trucks (booth 5705), Kenworth Truck Company (booth 7717), Mack Trucks (booth 6911), Peterbilt Motors Company (booth 6045) and Volvo Trucks (booth 4811) will showcase their latest Class 8 trucks. Leading trailer OEMs Dorsey Trailer (booth 7311) and Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company (booth 6645) will demonstrate a variety of new trailers.

Peterbilt will display its Model 579 in both day cab and UltraLoft configurations, a Model 567 tractor and a 567 dump and a medium duty Model 337 box truck.  The Peterbilt electric vehicle lineup will also be on display and feature a Model 579EV tractor, a Model 520EV refuse truck and the Model 220 box truck.

Orange EV

American Trucking Associations (Hall B booth 8245) is displaying a Mack Anthem® 70-inch Stand Up Sleeper model that tours the country to recruit and hire military veterans into the trucking industry. “Though camo is designed to blend in with its surroundings, the camo tractor stands out and generates tremendous interest in trucking from veterans and other job seekers,” said Elisabeth Barna, executive vice president of industry affairs and senior adviser to the president of American Trucking Associations (ATA). ATA’s Hero Truck workforce development program also features a 2020 VS2DX Utility trailer emblazoned in veterans’ recruitment and workforce development images specifically designed by Utility to match the camo tractor. “ATA is proud to display its Hero Truck at NACV and tour the country to promote the many great careers in trucking,” added Barna.

Orange EV will showcase its Orange EV T-Series pure electric terminal trucks. Working up to 24+ hours on a single charge and supporting 24×7 operations, all Orange EV trucks are built to site-specific needs with customer-driven configurations on battery, charging and other standard options.

Connectivity Zone

he show’s new Connectivity Zone (Hall B booth 8609) will feature top peripheral device companies that will showcase their latest solutions and components, allowing attendees to handle, analyze and compare electronic logging devices (ELD) and IoT peripheral products. The Connectivity Zone will also highlight a variety of fleet safety products and solutions.

Preview Innovative Tire Solutions, Intelligent Tires and Wheels  

Since tires are the second highest vehicle operating expense and 80 percent of premature failures are directly related to pressure management, tire pressure management is critical to a fleet’s efficient operation. Working in a technology partnership with AKTV8, a suspension electronic controls specialist, SAF-HOLLAND (Hall B booth 5331) will launch its smart tire pressure management system at NACV Show 2019.

Aperia Technologies (Hall B booth 4845) will showcase Halo Connect, a connectivity platform that virtually eliminates tire-related downtime.

Continental (Hall B booth 8115) will introduce a new intelligent-capable steer tire and will present its new GHG 2-compliant monitoring solution along with its other robust options for tires and digital tire monitoring solutions at the show.

Maxion Wheels (Hall B booth 4323) will unveil new product innovations addressing fuel efficiency, safety, and connectivity challenges at NACV Show 2019.

Can’t Miss Education Sessions

During the run of the show, on-floor education sessions available to all registered attendees will be held in four new Solutions Theaters. Speakers across the four Solutions Theaters will cover top industry issues and advancements concerning electric vehicles, alternative fuels and fuel efficiency; service solutions and utilizing service data to improve the service process; transition to ELDs, driver retention and the rapid pace of technology in trucking; and Class 8 automation and Last Mile delivery.

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, the new ‘Ask the Expert’ workshops will provide expert guidance and opportunities to brainstorm solutions for attendees most pressing challenges.
