Great Dane Features Foodservice Innovations at 2019 IFDA Show

Orlando, Florida – (Trailer Technician) – Great Dane will be showcasing several key innovations designed for temperature-sensitive deliveries, as well as multiple pieces of equipment from its refrigerated product lines during the 2019 International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) Distribution Solutions Conference. The event will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from October 27-29.

The theme of Great Dane’s display in booth #706 is “Great Doesn’t Stop,” which focuses on the company’s longstanding commitment to delivering premium products and innovative solutions that ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods.

“From pioneering the first reefer trailer in the 1940s to developing the end-to-end refrigerated offerings of today, Great Dane stands by our commitment to foodservice innovation,” said Chris Hammond, Great Dane’s executive vice president of Sales. “We have expanded our refrigerated lineup, standardized our liners with Microban antimicrobial protection, and introduced new technologies, like FleetPulse. We have continued to evolve, proving that Great Dane won’t stop innovating to meet the needs of our customers.”

The company will feature its newly launched trailer telematics system, FleetPulse, in the booth, giving visitors a first-hand look at the benefits of the industry’s first integrated telematics solution for complete fleet protection provided by an OEM. By using a series of strategically placed sensors, FleetPulse collects data about various aspects of the trailer, such as lights out, tire inflation, doors open/closed, and more. Great Dane recently announced a partnership with Coretex, a global provider of supply chain compliance and fleet management solutions, to offer customers a comprehensive solution for refrigerated trailers, including insight into critical refrigerated components such as the reefer unit and temperature controls.

Great Dane will also have three pieces of equipment on display, including a 36-foot Everest Multi- Temp refrigerated trailer featuring Microban and designed exclusively for Cheney Brothers, Inc.; a Johnson R-Series composite refrigerated truck body; and an Alpine refrigerated truck body designed exclusively for Performance Food Group.
